Lesotho, a small country of South Africa, acknowledged on Monday that Palestinian state within its 1967 borders, the agency Wafa reported.
“Lesotho has announced the recognition of Palestinian state within 1967 borders. An agreement was reached on the resumption of diplomatic relations between the two countries, said senior Fatah official Nabil Shaath.
In recent months, the Palestinian state has been recognized by several Latin American countries, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile and Ecuador. In total, the list of countries that recognized the independence is more than a hundred.
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas is counting on international recognition in September 2011.
