Members of the Advisory Council in charge of foreign investment in Russia welcome the candidacy of Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in the presidential elections, said Jim Turley, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ernst & Young on Monday.
“We support your candidacy for president, but as Prime Minister, you will be missed in our board. It goes without saying that we will support your program and work with the future prime minister to improve the investment climate in Russia, ” Turley said at a meeting of the board.
He added that board members enjoyed a lot of attention reserved by the head of the Russian government to dialogue with foreign investors.
During the pre-election congress of United Russia party late last September, President Medvedev has put forward the candidacy of Mr. Putin to the Russian presidency and has agreed to become his prime minister in an election of Vladimir Putin as head of the State.
The official announcement of Putin presidential candidate of United Russia should take place November 27 at the next party congress.
