Greece: the unemployment rate reached 22.5% in April

ATHENS, Greece – Unemployment in Greece rose again in April to 22.5 percent of people without jobs, a jump of almost six percentage points from April 2011 (16.2 percent), according to figures released Thursday by the Greek statistics service.

Between April 2011 and April 2012, 307,775 people lost their jobs, a high of 38.4 percent. Of those, 27493 people lost their jobs between March and April this year, a 2.5 percent jump.
