NEW YORK, NY – Category 1 hurricane, Irene was downgraded to a tropical storm with sustained winds of 105km / h, said the National Hurricane Center on Sunday. But the disturbance, which reached the city of New York, is accompanied by heavy rains can cause severe flooding.
