Facebook unveiled a new tool for the social network. Entitled “Trusted Friends“, it allows to generate passwords backup for close friends, in the case of a stolen account, for example. In development, Trusted Friends offers the possibility to choose between three and five friends on Facebook to assign a randomly generated password.
. No blind trust.
Thus, when the account is hijacked by stealing passwords, these random passwords will regain control of the user’s profile victim. However, for this to work requires that all passwords distributed to selected friends are available at the same time to avoid an unwanted takeover. Of course, there is an option not mandatory and should made available to registered on the social network in the coming months.
