Residents of the Borough of Saint-Hubert, Longueuil, and the town of Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville can again use water from the aqueduct safely. The boil water was lifted late Thursday.
Analyses indicate that the water no longer contains E. coli and is therefore safe.
Only residents of some thirty houses Montée Saint-Hubert, which remains between Norman Avenue and Boulevard Maricourt and whose house number is odd, were advised to continue boiling their water, because that ‘they are powered by a temporary network in the works.
“Analyses indicate that it is the temporary supply network, where some 35 homes and businesses were connected during the work, which was at issue,” said the City of Longueuil.
